Our Favorite Family Traditions Worth Keeping

Some of the best parts of family life are the little rituals that bring everyone together. Over the years, we’ve developed a handful of traditions that have become the heartbeat of our family culture.

These aren’t grand gestures or expensive outings — they’re simple, consistent moments that our kids look forward to and that we, as parents, treasure deeply.

Sunday Morning Pancakes

Every Sunday, without fail, we make pancakes together. The kids take turns choosing the mix-ins — blueberries, chocolate chips, bananas — and we eat together at the table before the day gets busy.

Monthly Family Meeting

Once a month, we sit down as a family to talk about what’s working, what we’re grateful for, and what we want to do together in the coming weeks. It sounds formal, but it’s actually one of our most cherished rituals.

Bedtime Story Rotation

Each family member takes a turn choosing the bedtime story. This has led to some wonderfully unexpected reading adventures — and a lot of laughter.

What traditions does your family hold dear? We believe these small rituals are what make a house feel like a home.
